Terms of service

Terms of service
These terms apply when you use this website or buy from Spare Spot. By placing an order, you agree to them. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA).

1. About us

- Spare Spot is not a registered company and is not registered for VAT.

2. Compatible parts
We sell compatible (aftermarket) parts made to fit the models listed on each product page. They are not original manufacturer parts. Brand and model names are used only to describe compatibility. Spare Spot is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of these brands, and all trademarks belong to their owners.

3. Prices and payment
Prices are in South African rand (ZAR). As we're not VAT registered, no VAT is charged. Delivery fees are shown at checkout. Payment is taken when you place your order through the payment methods shown at checkout. We may correct obvious pricing errors; if that happens, we'll contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.

4. Orders
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept it when we confirm it by email. If we can't source a part, we'll let you know and refund you in full.

5. Delivery
We source parts to order. Estimated delivery is 10–20 working days within South Africa. See our Shipping policy.

6. Cancellations, returns and refunds
See our Refund policy and Fit Guarantee, including your 7-day cooling-off right under ECTA.

7. Using parts safely
Please follow your machine manufacturer's instructions when fitting and using replacement parts, and switch off and unplug your machine first. Fitting a compatible part may affect the manufacturer's warranty on your machine; check your warranty terms if this matters to you.

8. Liability
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the CPA.

9. Privacy
We handle your personal information according to our Privacy policy and POPIA.

10. Complaints and disputes
Please contact us first and we'll do our best to resolve any problem. If we can't, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order.
